Global Pairings is a state-of-the-art optimization-based system for solutions to aircrew scheduling problems. It solves all aspects of the rostering process and tours-of-duty planning.
Optima has been closely and extensively involved with the Air New Zealand crew scheduling process.
Over the past 15 years, eight optimization-based computer systems have been developed to solve all aspects of the crew scheduling processes for both the airline's national and international operations.
The result have been a saving of NZ$15,655,000 per year while providing crew rosters and better respect crew members' preferences.
